AdvoCare 10 Day Herbal Cleanse!!! and a lifechanger! :D
I was so inspired by a friend of mine who had great results doing a cleanse. She felt better, looked better, slept better, and ate better. From that alone, I spoke with her and decided to try out the AdvoCare 10 day Herbal Cleanse and what a life changer that was!
The Herbal Cleanse is a very simple cleanse, that is designed to help detox one's body with the proper nutrients it needs. It is also structured to focus on how often one is eating and what they are eating. By eating smaller portions and eating better quality food, your body is able to use it for energy and fuel which helps kickstart your metabolism. Additionally, the 10 day Herbal Cleanse comes with probiotics, fiber drinks, and herbal pills, all of which help digestion and detox.
Well, I am happy to say that in 10 days, I lost 7.5 lbs and 6 inches!!!!! My before and after shot is above!! Additionally I have attached some of the meals I composed during the cleanse. Feel free to ask me for recipes or what the meals are. I have created a grocery list and a breakdown of all my meals during the cleanse and am happy to share with anyone who is interested in doing the cleanse as well. Further, the cleanse is also part of the AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge, so anyone who is looking to take it to the next level, kickstart fitness, sleep better, have more energy, have meal replacements which are full of protein and great for metabolism, I would suggest this! It works fabulously!!!

Beginning a Heart Healthy Journey!
Hey everyone! Welcome aboard my new blog! So glad to be sharing stories and successes and support with you!
As I embark on this new journey with writing a blog, (there is a first time for everything,) I am also going to be sharing and commenting about my journey to be healthier. First, a little bit about me.
I used to be super healthy, fit, active, and monitored my food intake. So, to me, I was healthy... Well REWIND, I am a heart disease survivor, had open heart surgery, 5 pacemaker surgeries, one biventricular pacemaker surgery, atrial tachycardia and heart failure. YOU READ THAT CORRECTLY. Heart failure. 28 years old.. Holy Moly! I never let any of my heart limitations stop me, that was until the middle of 2011.
Long story short, I needed a new pacemaker because the battery had died which is normal and expected. The week before I sat on the beach in West Palm Beach, Florida with my sorority sisters enjoying life and celebrating a bachelorette party! We returned and that following week, I went in for surgery. All seemed routine, until a few months later, I wasnt able to breathe, until stairs were an absolute struggle. The wire had malfunctioned which only meant, another surgery. I FREAKED OUT and this began my downward journey. I became so sad. A- I didnt have the strength mentally or cardiovascularly to continue dancing. I was too out of breath. Dance is my favorite thing in the world and becoming sedentary and unable to dance was a mental and physical struggle. To allow my shoulder time to heal from the previous surgery, I didnt get the surgery right away, but at the end of 2012, I underwent surgery #2 (within a year timeframe,) adding a new wire and a newer, larger, complicated pacemaker which was supposed to make me feel a lot better. 4 hours post surgery I complained of an issue, in which they waited until the following day to address. My wire had fallen which meant I was to have surgery again. AGAIN. I stared into my boyfriends eyes and for the first time out of every time I have gone under the knife, I balled and balled and broke down. Surgery #3 in a year.
I woke up the next day, with a device sticking out of my shoulder. It was too large/they didnt implant it right. So, now, to this day, I have to not lift my arm over my head because my muscle pops over it and to add insult to injury, it created a whole new heart condition called atrial tachycardia where my upper chamber is setting off fake beats and causing my heart to pump erratically and not allowing blood to get to my organs. What does that mean...? Oh, another procedure.
HOWEVER, I AM NOT AND WILL NOT allow my heart issues to take over my life. I saw a friend do a cleanse and get amazeballs results, and I was inspired to do it. I started the AdvoCare 10 day cleanse and lost 7.5lbs and 6inches in 10 days. Sold Sold Sold. Now I am pushing myself to continue on this healthy journey, for me and my heart. I am also here for anyone who wants to start their journeys. It is never too late to do so. Good Diet. Exercise. Proper Supplements = Success. My next post will be more details on my cleanse, its success including before and after shots and a lot of my meals during the cleanse!!
